Our thanks to Oren Zeev and Apax Partners for hosting the board meetings and to the Silicon Valley Bank for hosting the membership meeting this May in California. 
Following are highlights of the meetings:
- The Strategic Advisory Board, co-chaired by David Millstein and Tali Alush-Aben, updated the board on its portfolio evaluation and several of its recommendations will already be reflected in the work plans for the next
academic year. - The Board of Directors approved the expansion of the Education Initiative Municipal Intervention to the town of Ofakim.
- The Board of Directors also voted in favor of chartering a micro-finance committee, co-chaired by David Millstein and Mark Chess.
- The Board voted to allocate funding for a joint venture with the Sacta-Rashi
Foundation for, "Bringing Best Management Practices to Local Municipalities" in order to increase the management effectiveness of the education and welfare departments in local authorities.
